Musikminne från Karisa

Karisa från Toronto är både konstnär och artist. Hon debuterade med EP:n Vaporcoast 2020 och jag fastnade för hennes elektroniska pop redan då. I år har hon tidigare släppt den stillsamt vackra For you och i den senaste singeln Next you, där hon sjunger "And we can follow the stars, and we can watch the moon. And as the tide goes down, I'll be right next to you", sätter hon fart på kroppen och känslan är att hon tonsätter en dansant sommarnatt. Idag gästar Karisa bloggen för att dela med sig av ett musikminne!

The first time I heard the Smashing Pumpkins 1979 I was about 7 years old. I remember being captivated by the essence the song captured. 

As I grew older, the guitar riff, lyrics and Billy Corgans vocals left me feeling nostalgic for those younger days of carefree bliss sitting in the back of my parents car. Through my teenage years I listened to this song consistently, and have never grown tired of the riffs and words. 

1979 will always remind me of my childhood and teenage years, and my longing for a simpler time.
